100 Years of National Parks is a self-initiated project which celebrated the last century of our National Parks with an interactive timeline.
Donations to the National Park Foundation is the primary form of income that keeps the National Park Service up and running. Unfortunately the donation page doesn't receive a large amount of organic traffic. Through an educational history of the National Parks, users would be influenced to the point of donating to the foundation.
A continuous vertical scrolling site solidified the idea of a chronological concept.
With scroll point triggered SVG animations and smooth transitions, each segment is cohesively connected in time. Short blurbs about the most recognizable parks are sprinkled throughout the experience. This creates a minimal amount of depth that keeps the user interested but keeps in mind their short attention span.
